Eastbourne - The Sunshine Coast

A WEEKEND BY THE SEA!

The Birley Centre is located only 150m from Eastbourne's seafront and beaches. We do encourage you to stay for the weekend in this beautiful seaside town whilst competing in or attending the competition. We have negotiated a range of special rates with our partner hotels in the town, all of which are within easy walking- distance of the Birley Centre and the beach.

Whilst we do hope that competitors and ticket-holders will enjoy the opportunity to spend a wonderful weekend on "The Sunshine Coast", competition sessions have been arranged so that, in the vast majority of cases, singers will be able to return home between the First Round and the Final Round if they wish to do so. Names of singers who have successfully progressed to the final will be posted on the competition website at 5:30pm on Saturday June 1st, 2024

Eastbourne is currently enjoying a cultural renaissance, epitomised by the hosting of the 2023 Turner Prize at Eastbourne's Towner Gallery, next door to the Birley Centre.

Inspired by Eastbourne's hosting of this year's Turner Prize, the town's elephants welcome you to the Inaugural Eastbourne International Singing Competition 2024.
